Senior Support Services Associate I -- Clinical

The Bullitt County Health Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Senior Support Services Associate I – Clinical.

General Duties include:  This position serves under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor.  Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to; Assemble and maintain complete patient medical records and files.  Interview patient to ensure completeness and accuracy of demographic information required for various services and programs.  Route/direct patient to appropriate staff person.  Collect, record and enter fees obtained from patients into statewide network.  Prepare routine letters, labels and other appropriate material.  Answer multi-line phone system.  Schedule initial and follow-up patient appointments.  Review appropriate reporting sheet (Patient Encounter Forms) (PEF) of services provided to ensure completeness and accuracy.  Generate and/or issue Woman Infant and Children (WIC) vouchers.  Request routine reports available from the PSRS, inventory and order office supplies.  Maintain auto-dialer according to agency and patient requirements.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  High School Diploma or GED.

Starting Salary:  $10.10-$12.41/hr negotiable with additional experience.  Grade 10

Health Environmentalist I

The Bullitt County Health Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Health Environmentalist I. 

General Duties include:  This position serves under the direction of the Director or other appropriate staff.    Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to; Perform work of moderate difficulty while receiving training in the application of environmental health programs and in the enforcement of regulations through formal classroom training and on-the-job experience.  Perform duties with close monitoring by professional supervisory personnel until properly trained to perform functions independently.  Perform regular inspections of tourist accommodations, schools, swimming pools to ensure compliance with state and local regulations pertaining to environmental health, this may include taking product samples and forwarding for testing. Secure water samples; investigate nuisance complaints and other duties related to environmental health.  Inspect food establishments for compliance with state regulations pertaining to sanitation.  Request assistance from supervisors in situations beyond his/her scope of training and experience. Interpret reports generated by the Environmental Health Management Information System (EHMIS)/Graphical Users Interface (GUI) system. Analyze and interpret data regarding test results, inspections results, etc. and present results to appropriate types of audiences.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience:  Bachelor Degree from a college or university with a minor or twenty-four (24) semester hours in environmental health, biological or physical science or registration as a Kentucky Environmental Specialist/Sanitarian under KRS 223. 

Special Requirements:  Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. 

Note:  an individual upon employment must become registered under the provisions of KRS 223 to remain a permanent employee per Administrative Regulations 902KAR 8:080.

Starting Salary:  $12.15 - $15.17/hr negotiable with additional experience.  Grade 15
