The Bullitt County Health Department and the Bullitt County Cooperative Extension Office, FCS Agent in cooperation with Margaret Beeler, Registered Pharmacist, The Medicine Shoppe, Shepherdsville will present two Medication Management Workshops** April 28, 2008 from 2:00 – 4 P.M and April 30, 2008 from 2:00-4:00. The topics will focus on prescription and over-the-counter medications that help control specific chronic illnesses. April 28th Heart Disease and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) medications will be discussed; and April 30th Diabetes medications will be the topic. The goal of each workshop is to reduce the risk of adverse effects of medication through increased understanding of medication interactions and better medication management. A free medication review will be available for those participants who pre-register and bring a complete list of their medications—details will be provided at time of registration.
